The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an urgent nationwide warning about Vndueey Magnet Men Toy Sets after identifying severe safety violations and potential for deadly injuries. Sold online for nearly two years, these small, brightly colored toys contain high-powered magnets that can separate and be swallowed by children. The magnets are significantly stronger than allowed under federal safety standards, posing a grave threat to any child who ingests them.
According to the CPSC, the toys violate mandatory safety standards that regulate the strength and size of magnets in children’s products. The manufacturer, Shanghai Zhidi Network Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the brand name Vndueey, has refused to issue a recall or provide remedies to consumers. The agency’s rare “Stop Use Immediately” directive underscores the seriousness of the hazard.
The CPSC’s October 9, 2025, safety warning details how the Vndueey Magnet Men Toy Sets fail to meet U.S. safety requirements. The toy figures, which come in ten-piece sets shaped like flexible stick people, contain magnets in their hands and feet. These magnets are not only small enough to fit within the agency’s “small parts cylinder” (used to measure choking hazards) but are also more powerful than permitted under federal law.
When two or more magnets are swallowed, even at different times, they can attract to one another across internal tissue, leading to catastrophic injuries. The magnets can twist intestines, create perforations, cause infections, lead to blood poisoning (sepsis), and even result in death.
The CPSC reports that the toy sets were sold on Amazon from October 2023 through August 2025 for about $25. Because the manufacturer has not cooperated with a voluntary recall, the CPSC is urging consumers to immediately stop using the toys, remove them from their homes, and dispose of them safely.
Magnets are not inherently harmful when used safely, but high-powered rare-earth magnets can be deadly when ingested. The magnetic force in these toys can reach levels hundreds of times stronger than the threshold allowed by U.S. law. Once swallowed, even a single magnet can attach to metal or another magnet inside the body, compressing tissue and cutting off blood supply.
The CPSC has investigated hundreds of incidents involving magnetic toys in recent years. Many of these cases required emergency surgeries to remove magnets and repair internal organs. Tragically, several children have died from related complications.
Children are drawn to these toys because of their bright colors and tactile flexibility. However, the small detachable magnets in the hands and feet make them particularly hazardous for toddlers and young children who explore the world by placing objects in their mouths.
The CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the Chinese manufacturer Shanghai Zhidi Network Technology Co., Ltd. The company, however, has refused to comply with the recall, provide replacement products, or offer refunds.
This lack of cooperation leaves U.S. consumers vulnerable. Without an official recall, many families may not even realize the toy sitting in their child’s playroom could cause life-threatening internal damage. The CPSC’s warning also emphasizes that these toys were sold online under multiple listings, raising concerns that identical or rebranded versions may still be available on third-party marketplaces.
Consumers are urged not to give away or resell these toys and to report any incidents or injuries at www.SaferProducts.gov.
